Program courses and Cnr involved structures
Overall objective of the 'DIPLOMAzia' Program is to strengthen the institutional capacity-building and consolidate the endogenous development process and that of local 'ownership' able to create new bonds of scientific cooperation and technological innovation with Italy. Specific objective of the project is the training of professionals, with expertise in specific macro-selected areas, to be introduced in the socio-economic and productive system, both public and private, of home countries.
Thanks to the financial support provided by the Directorate General for Development Cooperation (DGDC) of Maeci, in addition to the resources offered by Cnr participating Institutes, the program has allowed the allocation of 70 training grants.
The courses, organized in the time span May - October 2014, focused on the below-mentioned macro-areas:
- Governance and management of maritime and fisheries policies (program - PDF file);
- Management and use of food resources aimed at the sustainability of agriculture and forestry, and the mitigation of the effects of climate change (program - PDF file);
- Governance of knowledge, management, preservation, enhancement and sustainable use of cultural heritage (Ibam-Cnr program - PDF file, Isma-Cnr program - PDF file, Itabc-Cnr program - PDF file, Icvbc-Cnr program - PDF file).
The implementation of the Science Program DIPLOMAzia2 has been entrusted to the following Cnr facilities:

Department of Earth System Science and Technology for the Environment, with the Institutes Isac-Cnr (Institute of Atmospheric Sciences and Climate, Bologna), Irpi-Cnr (Research Institute for Geo-Hydrological Protection, Perugia) and Igg-Cnr (Institute of Geosciences and Earth Resources , Pisa), is responsible for the activities necessary to the organization of course 1 "Environment / climate change / resilience with particular reference to the Mediterranean";
Department of Bio-Agri Sciences, Institutes Ibimet-Cnr (Biotemeteorologia Institute, Florence), IVALSA (Institute for the exploitation of wood and tree species, Sesto Fiorentino), Ipsp-Cnr (Institute for sustainable crop protection, Torino), Ispa-Cnr (Institute of Sciences for productions Food, Bari), is responsible for the activities necessary to the realization of the course 2 "Management and use of food resources aimed at the sustainability of agriculture and forestry, and the mitigation of the effects physical and biological effects of changes climate ";
Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Cultural Heritage, with the Institutes Ibam-Cnr (Institute for Archaeological and Monumental, Catania), ISMA (Institute of Studies on Ancient Mediterranean, Montelibretti), ITABC (Institute for Technologies Applied to Cultural Heritage, Montelibretti) , Icvbc-Cnr (Institute for preservation and promotion of Cultural heritage, Sesto Fiorentino), is responsible for the activities necessary for the realization of the course 3 "Governance of knowledge, management, preservation, enhancement and sustainable use of cultural heritage".
