Mission
Based on the expertise acquired and the need for their evolution, the scientific areas of intervention concern the study of:
Oncology - including the characterization in the carcinogenesis of proliferation, differentiation and cell death, of subcellular structures with the development of new drugs, biosensors and vectors.
Metabolism - including the characterization of molecular and cellular mechanisms that have a role in the development of metabolic diseases and the relationships between lifestyles, obesity, development of diabetes and associated complications.
Immunolgia - including the characterization of molecular/cellular mechanisms underlying immune-mediated disorders and the role of the immune system in disease.
