Abstract

The activity aims at a research concerning adaptation and implementation in the five countries of the Plata river basin of the data and access broker infrastructure" (DAB) component of the WHOS Phase II infrastructure (thereafter referred to as "Research for the implementation of DAB for WIGOS/WHOS-Plata"), as detailed in the WHOS Phase II Initial Implementation Plan endorsed by the Executive Council through Resolution 17 (EC-70)

Goals

a) Provisional hosting of the WHOS broker until an operational solution is defined by lNFCOM;
b) Development and implementation of DAB accessors and profilers as required for the interconnection of the new data nodes;
c) Support for development and implementation of the WHOS hydrological ontology;
d) Provisional hosting of the WHOS hydrological ontology until an operational solution is defined by lNFCOM;
e) Provisional hosting and maintenance of the WHOS web pages and Water Data Explorer tool until an operational solution is defined by lNFCOM;
f) Taking ownership and provide maintenance of the security certificates of the hosted WHOS web pages;
g) Maintain integrity of the hosted WHOS web pages;
h) Setup and optimization of the DAB infrastructure;
i) Support and training for DAB operation.
