Abstract
The present proposal is aimed at organising the Stock Taking international event dedicated to Science in Society projects and activities throughout the Sixth and Seventh Framework Programmes. The Conference was organised under the Italian Presidency, and tOOK place in Rome. The event has been included in the official programme of the Italian Presidency, whereby an exchange of views on Science with and for Society issues were addressed on the occasion of the Informal Meeting of Ministers of the EU Competitiveness Council, to be held in Rome. The whole event consisted of Conference sessions and two side events. The structure of the event has been tailored to fulfil the objectives defined in the topic of the call. Objectives: Garner analysis, recommendations and best practices of projects funded under the FP6 (SaS) and the FP7 (SiS). Offer a platform to discuss further developments in RRI framework; Federate the Science in Society Community; Present the international perspective of Science in Society projects over the 6th and 7th Framework Programmes, and reflect on the international dimension of Science in Society.
Goals
Participanti: circa 600 tra coordinatori di progetti europei nell'ambito del programma di finanziamento "Science in Society", rete dei National Contact Point Europei e tutti gli stakeholders italiani e internazionali interessati, con particolare attenzione alle Organizzazioni non Governative (ONG) e agli attori della società civile. Enti Promotori: CNR Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche e APRE Agenzia per la Promozione della Ricerca Europea Strutture Organizzative: Un Comitato Scientifico Internazionale ha definito i contenuti scientifici e l'agenda della Conferenza, nonché individuato moderatori e relatori di concerto con gli uffici della Commissione europea. Il Comitato Scientifico Locale, costituito da sette ricercatori CNR esperti nell'ambito della comunicazione della scienza e politiche della ricerca, ha condotto lo studio di valutazione delle attività e delle policy relative al programma. Il Comitato Organizzativo, suddiviso in cinque gruppi di lavoro, ha gestito le attività di preparazione, implementazione e follow-up dell'evento. Ogni gruppo di lavoro era composto da un referente e da un team composto dal personale afferente ai due Enti Promotori.
