The National Research Council of Italy (Cnr) actively participates in European funding programs and international initiatives aimed at advancing research and innovation. Through targeted projects, it seeks to enhance research excellence, support researchers' career development, promote innovative technological solutions, and address key social and economic challenges that are strategically significant for the European Union.

The Cnr Research Support and Grant Office (USRG) provides assistance to the scientific community, collaborating with local Grant Offices to prepare, implement, and manage research projects funded by the European Commission and other international bodies.

To support the participation in the European Research Council (ERC) initiatives, the Research Support and Grant Office, in collaboration with the European Relations Unit (UniRE), has established the ERC Task Force. This team provides information and support to prospective CNR applicants, as well as attracts external talents to strengthen the organisation’s scientific leadership.
