European Funding Programmes
The National Research Council of Italy (Cnr) has a long-standing commitment to participating in European funding initiatives, particularly within the EU’s Framework Programs for Research and Innovation. Through the involvement of top research groups across Europe, Cnr enables excellence in research and innovation on emerging themes and challenges, generating both economic and social impact.
Within the 2021-2027 financial framework, Horizon Europe is the European Union’s Framework Programme for Research and Innovation. With a total budget of €95.5 billion—representing a significant increase of 24% over the previous Horizon 2020 programme—Horizon Europe funds research and innovation through open and competitive calls. The programme aims to enhance the European added value, focusing on activities that cannot be effectively achieved by individual Member States.
Open calls, participation guidelines, and essential documents for accessing these programs can be found on the official European Commission’s Funding & Tenders Portal.
CNR is registered on the portal with the Participant Identification Code (PIC): 999979500.
