Profile

From 1984 to 1995, CNR Researcher at the Center for Vico Studies ("Centro studi vichiani") of the National Research Council; from 1995 to 2002, CNR Senior Researcher at the Center for Vico Studies; since 2002, CNR Director of Research at the Institute for the History of Philosophy and Science in Modern Age ("Istituto per la storia del pensiero filosofico e scientifico moderno": ISPF-CNR), Naples head office; from 2002 to 2009, Head of the ISPF-CNR Naples head office; from 2009, Acting Director of the ISPF-CNR; since 2012, full Director of the ISPF-CNR. She works on modern European philosophy, in particular Descartes, Leibniz and Spinoza. Besides being member of the Scientific Board of G. Vico's Standard critical Edition, she has edited several Vico's works: "Epistole", "Le gesta di A. Carafa", "Scienza nuova 1730", "Scienza nuova 1744", and "De antiquissima".
