Abstract

Study of the release of microplastic form textile in order to understand the phenomenon by assessing the shedding during simulated lab-scale and real washings, by correlating the release to fabric composition/structure, washing detergents, washing parameters and to improve the state of the art related to microplastic release form fabric. The main role of the IPCB will be to perform simulated and real washing tests on textile substate prepared by INDITEX to to quantify the MF release from textile, to evauate the influence of washing conditions in MF shedding such as detergent and load, temperature and time.

Obiettivi

The main objectiv of the project is tudy of the release of microplastic form textile in order to understand the phenomenon and to correlate it to fabric composition/structure, washing detergents, washing parameters. The fianl goal will be reached through four specific objectives:
SO I Quantification method Assessment: Correlate different methodologies
SO II Influence of washing conditions in MF shedding: DETERGENT AND LOAD
SO III Influence of washing conditions in MF shedding: TEMPERATURE.
SO IV Influence of washing conditions: TIME
