Abstract
The Green Infrastructure Ecology and Physiology group is one of the most successful units of IBAFCNR
with about 15 people working on basic research and applied research dealing with adaptation and
mitigation of vegetation to various environmental factors with a particular focus on urban environment and
ecosystem service provisions. The group includes researchers, technicians, post-docs, PhD students, one
engineer and one Project manager. The group is involved in several national and international projects in
several cases as coordinator and has raised more than EUR4m of funds in the last 5 years, published more than
50 papers in international journals/books in the last 5 years and worked with several public authorities in
innovation and applied projects on green infrastructure.
Obiettivi
CNR is the leader of WP 4 (NBS benefit assessment and monitoring) and coordinates in particular Task 4.3
(ecological and environmental restoration) and Task 4.5 (data management and accessibility). In addition,
CNR coordinates Task 1.3 (coordination with other NBS Innovation Actions) in close collaboration with
RWTH. CNR will therefore also be actively involved in WP6 with respect to the development and
dissemination activities within the Task 6.2 (training events) and Task 6.4 (MOOCs training modules) and
other dissemination activities.
