Abstract
The recent pandemic has completely changed the globalization paradigm expanding the borders of value and supply chains (SC) with a shift in trade patterns and consumer dynamics. On the one hand, the acceleration of digital technologies and the reduction of obstacles to international trade facilitate the integration of EU companies in global value chains, on the other hand, the profound transformation of global value chains has raised significant social, economic and environmental challenges, including increasing divergence in productivity, labour market effects, working conditions in the progress towards resource-efficiency and decarbonisation, with problems of security of and access to strategic supplies. The aims of this proposal are:
