Abstract
The project will address the following goals:
1. Characterization of the mixing dynamics between a stream of particles flowing into a 3-D
fluidized bed operated in bubbling and turbulent flow regime under even and uneven fluidization conditions;
2. Assessment of the interaction between solid mixing and particle-particle heat transfer;
3. Assessment of the capability of the existing models (IFPEN or other) to describe mass and
heat transfer in gas-solid fluidized beds.
