Abstract
Immersion in natural sea water of aluminium samples and stress corrosion test in semi-field conditions on aluminium samples.
Goals
1.1 reservation of immersion areas sized enough to guest LGC's specimens;
1.2 set-up of semi-field experiments following the indications agreed and reported in the Technical Annex;
1.3 preparation of the immersion racks following the indications agreed and reported in the Technical Annex;
1.4 fixing the specimens to the racks following the indications agreed and reported in the Technical Annex;
1.5 logistics support and continuous samples monitoring;
1.6 collection of high definition pictures of samples before testing and after the withdrawal times indicated in the Technical Annex;
1.7 Continuous record of sea water temperature, pH/conductivity/salinity evaluation of sea water once a week (for natural sea water immersion test);
1.8 Temperature kept constant around 20-25°C, pH/conductivity/salinity evaluation once a week (for semi-field test);
1.9 sample removal, cleaning, storage, and delivery at the end of the exposure times following the indications agreed and reported in the Technical Annex;
1.10 sharing of data listed in points 1.6, 1.7, and 1.8 included in the Technical Reports.
All the relevant details are reported in the Technical Annex.
