Abstract

Manufacturing of the ship model in wood according to the original faired lines supplied by the Customer with IGES 3D file. Manufacturing of two models of bulbous bow in the same scale of the model referred to in item 1.1.Resistance tests in calm water for bow B 1, B2 and B3, tWo dfafts respectively without PSS. No. 8 (eight) useful experimental points will be measured for each condition in the speed range t.d.b .. Tue following data will be measured during the tests: VM, RHuLL, trim & sinkage. Self-propulsion tests with stock propeller in calm water for bow B 1 at one condition with and without PSS provided by the Customer in the same scale ratio of the hull. Photos of the model, tests set-up and of the above mentioned tests in the most interesting conditions. Elaboration and analysis of the acquired data.
