Abstract
Objective of the project is to analyse the possibility of using artificial pollination in olive culture for
increasing the fruit production. The focus group will study the feasibility of the technique analysing
the available know-how about artificial pollination. Olive flowering, pollen production, collection,
storage as well as pollen usage and spreading will be studied. Al the machinery that could be involved
will be identified together with methods and timing also by transferring information from other species
(kiwy fruit).
