Description
ItalWordNet is a lexical-semantic database developed in the framework of two different research projects: EuroWordNet (EWN) and Sistema Integrato per il Trattamento Automatico del Linguaggio (SI-TAL). IWN is structured in the same way as the Princeton WordNet, namely around the notion of synset. Following the model designed in EWN, IWN encodes a rich set of semantic relations. IWN contains information about Italian Nouns, Verbs, Adjectives and Adverbs for a total of 49,350 synsets. The resource was mostly manually built and it was curated by Adriana Roventini until 2012. The project is currently dormant. IWN is accessible for testing and performing basic searches through a simple online query interface. Available in CLARIN. The resource is currently available in various formats: an SQL database with a full export in LMF format (http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.11752/ILC-62) under a CC-BY-NC-SA 4.0 and a Linked Open Data RFD format (http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.11752/ILC-66) under an ODC-BY license
