EERA DAY in Italy: R&I collaboration for the Clean Energy Transition

The Cnr Department of Engineering, Ict and technologies (Cnr-Diitet) is organizing the meeting 'EERA DAY in ITALY: R&I Collaboration for the Clean Energy Transition' in collaboration with the European Energy Research Alliance (EERA) and ENEA. The event is scheduled for February 23, 2024, at CNR Headquarters in Aula Marconi, Rome.
Out of the 250+ EERA members from 30 countries, 28 are Italian research institutions and universities. Participation in all 18 EERA Joint Programs demonstrates our country's contribution to R&D efforts in implementing the new SET Plan, which aligns with the goals of the Green Deal, the Net-Zero Industry Act, and the REPowerEU Plan. Therefore, following the European initiatives to revise the SET Plan and in COP28, the day is intended to be a networking opportunity for Italian experts active in the energy sector and to provide an overview of Italian engagement in EERA.
The EERA Secretariat, the DG RTD representative, Italian R&I national delegates and managers, and Italian EERA members will convene to achieve the following objectives:
(1) Recognize Italian priorities for energy research and innovation and provide updates on related national programs such as PNRR, RDD, and MI.
(2) Present EERA's role and strategy for the clean energy transition and SET Plan.
(3) Identify connections between research strategies in Italy and EERA's Joint Programs.
Invited attendees: Italian members of EERA, along with key representatives of research and innovation (R&I) programs, as well as delegates and representatives of the Ministry of University and Research (MUR), the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security (MASE) and Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MIMIT) are invited to attend.
Partecipation in free, but previous registrazion online is required.
