Seminario di Andrew J. Tanentzap (Department of Plant Sciences, University of Cambridge, UK).
Land cover is changing around much of the planet's freshwater. Dr Tanentzap's talk will focus on how changes in terrestrial vegetation alter the physical, chemical, and biological environment of north temperate lakes, and thereby influence the delivery of key ecosystem services. Using both observational and experimental studies, he will show how both food web production and carbon cycling are products of healthy forests and wetlands. He hopes to convince you that new watershed-level approaches are needed to coordinate the management of land and water resources.
