International Symposium Genetics and Breeding of Durum Wheat

The Organising Institutions – Accademia Nazionale delle Scienze, detta dei XL, Italy; International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (Icarda); Centro Internacional de Mejoramiento de Maíz y Trigo (Cimmyt); Italian National Research Council (CNR) -.are pleased to announce the International Symposium on Genetics and Breeding of Durum Wheat, which will be held on May 27-30, 2013 in Rome, Italy.
The Symposium will bring together scientists representing a wide spectrum of research approaches and geographical representation of research on this crop. Assembling specialists with different perspectives all focused around themes of research on Evolution, Genetic Resources, Germ plasm enhancement, Breeding Strategies and Tools, Adaptation and sustainability, Disease and Pest Resistance, Technological and Nutritional Quality, Structural and Functional Genomics will provide a stimulating environment for learning, exchange ideas, connecting with old and new colleagues.
The Symposium will include presentation at the cutting edge of the specified topics. A major emphasis in the Symposium will be the fostering of interaction among participants.
