Ethical Clearance - Data processing and protection
Before submitting the project for Ethical Clearance, the Institute's Privacy Responsible must always be consulted, both in the case of simple data processing and in the case of the involvement of research participants.
With regard to privacy profiles, the documentation attached to the Ethical Clearance request must contain:
- a declaration signed by the Director of the Institute (electronic signature), as legal representative, certifying that the processing of personal data complies with the provisions of the applicable European and national regulations.
- a declaration signed by the Principal Investigator (electronic or handwritten signature) with an obligation to comply with the ethics rules for statistical or scientific research processing published in accordance with Article 20(4) of Legislative Decree No. 101 of 10 August 2018 - 19 December 2018.
ATTENTION: No ethical evaluation of the project will be initiated unless the two signed and dated declarations are provided.
ATTENTION: Under no circumstances may the Research Ethics and Integrity Committee and the scientific and technical staff entrusted with the Ethical Clearance process provide advice on profiles concerning data processing and protection (evaluation, validation, examination, indications, suggestions, advice, text revisions, templates, etc.). These profiles are within the competence of the Institute, the Data Protection Responsible (RDP) of the CNR and its staff.
