Abstract

The project aims at developing an ecosystem of methodologies, software tools and prototypes to increase the quality of the motion control of robotic setup in a large number of industrial applications. The core of the research activities will be the development of methodologies to boost the robots and human interaction at the shop-floor level.
The goal can be achieved using a multi-disciplinary approach, where the improvement of the robot motion control will be achieved by the investigation of many different application scenario.
The researches, therefore, will focus on the main open challenge in the field of industrial robotics, and specifically, the first two WPs will focus on the core of the modelling and control of industrial robots, in many application scenarios, aiming at increasing the knowledge about the best modelling techniques and the most advanced control techniques to optimize the robot adoption in every working conditions.
The project is therefore structured in 9 WPs. The WP2, WP2 and WP3 are focused on the advanced control and modelling of the robot, with particular aim at investigating the interaction of the robots with the environment and the human.
