EULab - Summer School on Labour Migration in the European Union

EULab is the Summer School on Labour Migration in the European Union organised by the Department of Law of University of Naples Federico II (Italy), with the Institute for Research on Innovation and Services for Development of the National Research Council of Italy (CNR-IRISS) - Eramus+ Programme of the European Union.
The first edition of EULab will take place from 9 to 22 July 2021, as an hybrid course (online and in person) to adapt the Summer School and the related events to the evolving situation related to the Covid-19 pandemic and, hence, to the needs of participants and guest lecturers.
EULab is open to postgraduate students in the fields of Law, International Relations and Social Science with the view to promote an interdisciplinary approach to labour migration issues. Tuition in the context of the Summer School will combine strictly legal perspectives with the insights of practitioners from non-legal areas, and the dynamic and interactive settings of daily workshops will nurture debates among students from different fields.
Professor Professor Siobhán Mullally, UN Special Rapporteur on Trafficking in Persons, especially women and children; Professor Christina Binder, Member of the Board of the European Society of International Law; Ambassador Drahoslav Štefánek, Special Representative for Migration and Refugees, Council of Europe; Professor Giuseppe Palmisano, former President of the European Committee on Social Rights, Council of Europe, are among the Guest Lecturers of the EULab.
Besides the Teaching Activities, EULab will host two special events: 1) the Young Scholars Workshop and 2) the Roundtable on Labour Migration.
