The CNR-ISPA under the aegis of the MycoKey project  and the International Society for Mycotoxicology (ISM),  is pleased to announce the 18th Fusarium Laboratory Workshop being held at Faculty of Biotechnology in Bari from 18-22 June, 2018.

This internationally recognized workshop will be a combination of interesting keynote speakers’ lectures and laboratory experience, working with standard Fusarium strains for each species.

This workshop will be taught by international renowned Fusarium experts. Participants will be introduced to standard morphological, genetic and molecular biological techniques used to identify and characterize strains of Fusarium. Participants will learn to use morphological characters to identify the most common Fusarium species, how to make tests for vegetative compatibility groups and cross-fertility, and how to extract, PCR amplify, and analyze DNA sequences. More than half of the time will be spent in the laboratory working with standard strains.

The training registration fee of EUR 1500 includes workshop materials, handouts, a copy of the Fusarium laboratory manual, welcome and workshop dinners, training lunches, lab supplies, a certificate of participation, and the International Society for Mycotoxicology ordinary membership. A reduced fee of EUR1300 is available for ISM members.
Costs of travel, local transportation and accommodation are not included.
