The UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network - Youth (SDSN Youth) and the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences (PASS) are pleased to invite young entrepreneurs, scientists, inventors and advocates from all over the world to attend:

Youth and the SDGs - Challenges and Opportunities
30-31 October 2016

This two-day event will assemble 50 young leaders from a variety of disciplines including tech, advocacy, research and policy for a series of interactive workshops where they can trade knowledge, co-generate ideas and operationalize solutions to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). 

The Symposium will be held at Casina Pio IV in Vatican City on 30-31 October 2016. It is open to all young people aged 18 to 30 who are passionate about creating solutions for sustainable development. A detailed criteria is outlined below:

• Applicants must be between the ages of 18 to 30 years of age at the time of applying.
• Applicants can be from any country/region in the world, but efforts will be made to prioritise those from countries that are not currently represented at the event.
• Applicants must demonstrate a strong understanding of marketing or be technologically apt.
• Applicants must have a demonstrated background in community engagement and civil participation.
• Applicants must demonstrate a strong understanding of policy and sustainable development in a social, political and economic context.
• Applicants must demonstrate their ability and willingness to use the conference as a platform for creating relationships and projects that will have an impact.

Application Deadline: 30 August 2016

Priority will be given to participants that can demonstrate a strong interest and willingness to devise solutions for achieving one or more of the SDGs.
