After the success of the first international BioPhotonics Workshop (Parma, Italy 2011) and the second one (Taipei, Taiwan, 2013), the Institute of Applied Physics of the National Research Council of Italy and the IEEE Italy section are pleased to announce the third appointment of the series.
Throughout our previous two editions, BioPhotonics Workshop has been established as a high-level conference in the area of light-based techniques for medicine, life science, agriculture, environmental science and many other areas of application. The goal of this Workshop is to bring together researchers worldwide to exchange their knowledge and experience, as well as their research developments in a stimulating multidisciplinary forum of experts. As usual, plenary and invited lectures as well as oral and poster contributions will be present in the program.
The topics of BioPhotonics2015 include (but are not limited to):
- Sensing platforms: plasmonics, biosensors, optical sensing, fiber sensors, microstructured optical fibers, probe design and interface, point- of-care diagnostic and sensing systems.
- Optofluidics platforms: waveguide and fiber optofluidics, fluid and dynamics, optical lab-on-a-chip.
- Materials: biomaterials and tissues, bio-composites, graphene, bio- compatibility, bio-derived nanostructures.
- Nano-biophotonics: bio-nanotechnology, nanoparticles, intracellular nanosensing.
- Microscopic and spectroscopic techniques: fluorescence and Raman-based methods, multiphoton microscopy, digital holographic imaging, optical trapping.
- Optical Coherence Tomography
- Photo- and Opto- Acoustic Imaging and Therapy: light and ultrasound methods.
- Emerging techniques: 3D printing, novel sensing principles, IR and terahertz sensing.
- Diagnostic and Therapeutic Applications: minimally invasive laser procedures, photodynamic therapy.
- Food Quality and Safety
