Abstract
The main objective will be to define some final "PRODUCTS" means any cosmetic and/or dermatological active ingredients which can be produced by LUBRIZOL having as unique source of active ingredient the biomolecules and/or their derivatives, and/or the microbial strains themselves. Supply of small and large scale microbial biomass and down-stream of their biomolecules, such as enzymes, polymers and membrane lipids for screening in cosmetic and dermatological applications. The chemical and biochemical characterization of active biomolecules will be achieved.
Goals
Different bacteria from different Italian extreme ecological niches will be studied. Selected strains coming from marine hot springs of Baia and Ischia Island (Naples), from algal mat of a mineral pool in Malvizza site (Campania), from Venere lake in Pantelleria Island and from Euganean hot springs, Abano Terme, Padova, will be studied for their biomolecule patterns and their cosmetics and dermatological applications and use.
