Abstract
The project relates to technical assistance to be provided by IRSIG-CNR on efficiency and quality of justice in the Slovak Republic, based on the tools and methodology settled by the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice Commission (CEPEJ), in the framework of the cooperation project entitled 'Stregthening the efficiency and quality of the Slovak judicial system', promoted by the Council of Europe (COE). The project will formulate recommendations and advise on possible reforms in the justice sector.
Goals
The project will be conducted in three stages: 1) the Slovak judicial system will be assessed at both national and courts' levels as regards efficiency and quality, and relevant recommendations to improve these aspects and contribute to potential reforms will be formulated by CEPEJ experts; 2) recommendations will be addressed by CEPEJ experts to the Solovak authorities as regards the setting up of the 'Analytical Centre' and how to use the IT system more efficiently; 3) the efficiency and quality of courts will be enhanced through implementation of CEPEJ methodology and tools on judicial time management and quality of justice in a number of pilot courts,
