Abstract

This FLOWIS project will develop experimental and numerical methodologies to better predict and assess the propeller and ship behaviour during manoeuvring;develop a new design approach and solutions to improve the propeller/ship performance during manoeuvring;apply the new methodologies and design approach to the study of a specific ship. The overall objective of this FLOWIS project is to develop tools and methods to reduce ship signatures in 'off-design' conditions.
