Library of Roma
The Library supports research activity and study at the Institute. External users have access to services by appointment only.
The bibliographic stock reflects IRPPS's lines of research. Currently the Library online catalogue runs to some 7.000 books in the fields of demographics and sociology. In addition to principal domestic and international statistics, there is a selection of authoritative journals, many of them are included in the ISI databases. The stock is completed by a collection of Grey literature from national and international research bodies.
The Library partecipates in the Italian catalogue union of serials (ACNP).
Participates in ESSPER databases for Italian article citations published in Social Sciences.
The Library collaborates with other CNR libraries in sharing resources and in the diffusion of open access electronic publishing.
It has set up conventions with Università di Roma "La Sapienza" and "Tor Vergata for short courses and training sessions for Library Science graduates.
