Description
The Institute of Crystallography (IC) has been officially active since 2002; it was born from the merge of the "Istituto di Ricerca per lo Sviluppo di Metodologie Cristallografiche" of Bari and the "Istituto di Strutturistica Chimica "Giordano Giacomello" (including the Basovizza section) of Monterotondo Scalo. In 2019, the Catania unit was added to the IC.
The IC has its main office in Bari (located in the CNR Research Area of Bari) and to it belong the units of Rome-Monterotondo (located in the Research Area of the CNR of Rome 1, Montelibretti) , of Catania (located in the Research Area of the CNR of Catania), and of Trieste (located at the Area Science Park of Basovizza, Trieste), and the Como work site ,at the Department of Science and High Technology of the University of Insubria.
The total staff involved 54 researchers, 3 technologists and 28 units as technical and administrative staff.
