Abstract

CNR-INM will provide support to the CoE research program by contributing to topics in different
AMOS projects, with the following main objectives:
1. Violent Fluid-structure interactions between ship/offshore structures and abnormal waves
in rough sea: continuation of the development activity.
2. Experimental investigation of the cavity dynamics of a free fall cone impacting the water
surface: data analysis. Preparation of a journal paper.
3. Development of a novel device system for energy extraction from sea waves: Euler
scaling. Preparation of a journal paper.
4. Continuation of the development of different strategies for the solution of Navier-Stokes
equation through HPC solver: possible domain decomposition strategy with HPC.
Preparation of a journal paper.
5. Experiments on live fish to be done at CNR lab.
6. Cooperation for the development of efficient articulated/flexible robots through
preliminary hydrodynamic studies.
