Abstract

This project is aimed at completing the most recent research topics started during the development of SAWtrain, that is the design /fabrication / test of Zero Group Velocity resonators, ZGVRs, (with and without reflectors). The resonators performances optimized with respect to
a. the number of reflectors,
b. type of metal,
c. thickness of metal,
d. electrical boundary conditions (possible presence of a floating or grounded electrode).
The project also foresees the theoretical and experimental study of chemical and physical SAW sensors based on thin films of ZnO and AlN.
