The printed edition of the Special Issue "New Perspectives in the Definition/Evaluation of Seismic Hazard through Analysis of the Environmental Effects Induced by Earthquakes", edited by Sabina Porfido (Cnr-Isa), Giuliana Alessio, Germana Gaudiosi and (Ingv-Osservatorio vesuviano) is now available.

The MDPI book -also available in PDF- collects different papers published in Geosciences that have as their objective the definition and evaluation of the seismic hazard through the analysis of the environmental effects induced by earthquakes.

The application of the 2007 seismic intensity scale (ESI) to moderate and strong earthquakes, in different geological contexts around the world, highlights the importance of the environmental effects of earthquakes (EEE) for the assessment of seismic risk.

The contribution of new multisciplinary methodologies are essential both for the identification and characterization of seismically active areas, and for the development of new risk models. The volume contains 19 peer-reviewed articles related to different areas of the world: Italy, USA, Spain, Australia, Ecuador, Guatemala, South Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Russia, China, Japan and Nepal, which provide interesting and useful information for the assessment of seismic hazard in different contexts.
