EDUCATION: SECONDARY SCHOOL LEVEL
NANO Researchers also organize several initiatives for secondary schools, in strict co-operation with their University Department and with local schools in home cities and surroundings, with the purpose to maintain a strong link with teachers and to support them with information, updates, and direct collaboration on request.
Some S3 researchers have developed an ad hoc website.

EDUCATION: PHD LEVEL
NANO Centers promote education at PhD level by training a large number of PhD students who participate in their research activities.
PhD Students from Scuola Normale Superiore (SNS) participate in activities at NEST whereas the Lecce researchers train and work with students from ISUFI and University of Salento. S3 has played a major role in the establishment of the Graduate School in Nano- and Physical Sciences together with the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.
Two PhD positions at SNS are supported by the National Research Council.
