Description
The Corpus is composed of nautical texts from resources used to compile a dictionary of the Spanish nautical lexicon of the XVI century and to recover the lexicon relating to: astronomy, seas, winds, ships, Mediterranean and oceanic routes, place names, navigation rules and instruments, etc. These activities are part of the project LENESO (LÉxico Náutico Español del Siglo de Oro). LENESO is a lexicographic project carried out by a group of researchers from the Institute for Computational Linguistics of the National Research Council (Manuela Sassi and Antonia Saba), the University of Pisa and the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia of Madrid (Maria Lourdes García-Macho et al.), with contributions from the aforesaid institutions, from the Dirección General, from Enseñanza Superior y Investigación Científica, from the Ministerio de Educación y Cultura Español and from the Sección de Medios Impresos of the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia. Sebastiana Cucurullo built the annotated corpus accordingly to the requirements of DBT. Eva Sassolini implemented the on-line query system. The corpus is in old Spanish language (XVI century), the texts are lemmatized. Data format: DBT
