ISPM2026 - International Scanning Probe Microscopy Conference
Dal 26/05/2026 ore 10.30 al 29/05/2026 ore 16.00
Palazzo delle Borsa di Genova
From May 26 to 29, 2026, Genova will host the 24th edition of the International Scanning Probe Microscopy Conference (ISPM2026), one of the leading international conferences dedicated to Scanning Probe Microscopy (SPM) and its applications in physics, biology, and materials science.
Founded in 1999 in Seattle, the ISPM series has been a major reference point for more than twenty-five years for the scientific community working on the development of SPM techniques, sensors, and nanostructures. Following the most recent in-person edition, held in 2024 in Sapporo, ISPM 2026 confirms its international character by attracting researchers from universities, research institutes, industry, and governmental organizations worldwide.
The scientific program includes contributions on the latest advances and emerging methodologies in AFM and STM, with particular attention to topics such as:
- SPM on single molecules and model biological systems, as well as on cells and multicellular systems
- AFM in disease studies and mechanotransduction
- Correlative and high-speed SPM
- SPM for the investigation of quantum, innovative, and energy-related materials
- Nanometrology, nanomechanics, nanotribology
- New methodologies, including applications of Artificial Intelligence
