AbstractWe present a BASIC program that computes the parameters of a kinematic wave model for debris-flow motion (Arattano and Savage, 1992) using a recorded hydrograph of a debris flow and the channel cross section measured at the location of the gaging station. The program generates theoretical hydrographs based on two different solutions for kinematic wave theory at the location of the station. These theoretical solutions can then be compared with the recorded hydrograph.

Descrizione: We present a BASIC program that computes the parameters of a kinematic wave model for debris-flow motion (Arattano and Savage, 1992) using a recorded hydrograph of a debris flow and the channel cross section measured at the location of the gaging station. The program enerates theoretical hydrographs based on two different solutions for kinematic wave theory at the location of the station. These theoretical solutions can then be compared with the recorded hydrograph.
