Marco Laurino received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in biomedical engineering from the University of Pisa, Pisa, Italy, in 2007 and 2009, respectively. In 2014, he received the PhD in "Neurosciences and Endocrine-Metabolic Sciences" at the University of Pisa. He is currently a researcher at the Institute of Clinical Physiology (IFC) of the National Research Council (CNR) in the Pisa . In the past he worked at the University of Pisa and the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna. His current research interests include: i) the study of sleep and consciousness in humans using electrophysiological and functional neuroimaging approaches, such as high-density EEG. In particular, his activity is focused on the processing of biomedical signals (e.g. Hd-EEG, ECG, skin conductance, actigraphy); ii) Neur stimulation techniques (transcranial magnetic stimulation and transcranial electrical stimulation) applied to psycho-pathological conditions such as depression; iii) Connected Health and e-Health; iv) modeling of biological systems; v) biomedical technology in underwater and hyperbaric environments; vi) Artificial Intelligence applied to medicine. He is P.I. or partner of several research projects funded by national public institutions. He participated in several international projects as a member of research units.
