European and international projects

The section of the Programming and Grant Office dedicated to European and international projects, provides support to Cnr scientific network on the management and administration of research projects funded by the European Commission and other international organisations with particular reference to the following activities:

• preparation of the project proposal,
• negotiation and signature of the European contract and of the consortium agreement, providing support during the implementation of project activities, identifying correct solutions to specific problems,
• assistance during the reporting phase and in the event of project audits carried on by auditors appointed by the European Commission or the Court of Auditors of the European Union.

The European and international projects section (located at Cnr headquarters in Rome and at the Research Area in Genoa) is made up of experienced staff in the management and administration of European projects that works in synergy with the scientific network and with central administrative offices to identify and adopt procedures in harmony with the national legislation and the regulations of European funding programmes.

The section also collaborates with the Legal Entity Appointed Representative of Cnr promoting the use of CNR PIC code, providing specific support on the services of the EC participant portal and preparing periodic reports on the participation of Cnr researchers and Institutes to European finding programmes.

In cooperation with the European and International Relations Office, the section also provides support to the participation of Cnr researchers in other international funding programmes (e.g. US federal grants).
