IGLO - Informal Group of R&I Liaison Offices

The Informal Group of R&I Liaison Offices (IGLO) was founded in Brussels in 1992.

The main objective of IGLO is to facilitate and improve interaction, information exchange and cooperation between IGLO members, their national research systems and the European institutions on issues related to EU research and innovation actions, in particular, the EU Framework Program for Research and Innovation and education programs such as Erasmus+.

Fundamental principles of IGLO are:

• willingness to share knowledge and collaborate based on trust;
• active and regular participation and contribution to the network by its members;
• informal nature for exchange with EU institutions.
