Research institute for geo-hydrological protection (IRPI)
The Research Institute for Hydrogeological Protection belongs to the National Research Council. It was established in 1970 with the mission of promoting geological and hydrological researches on landslides and floods.
The main research interests were identified as follows:
- Hydrogeology and morphological evolution of the hydrographic nets and of the catchement basins, with particular reference to soil erosion phenomena, transport or deposit.
