The functions of the Head Office are defined by the new legislative provisions (legislative Decree No. 127 of 4 June 2003, art. 11)

• The General Manager is in charge of the body management, takes care of the implementation of the Board of Directors' resolutions and of the implementation of the chairman's measures; he runs, coordinates and checks the central structure and the general services of the body; he takes part to the Board of Directors' meetings without right to vote. The General Manager:
  
  
  1. prepares the budget and the final balance of the body;
     
  2. works out, on the basis of the instructions received by the departments, the annual audit report of the management and economical results which will be submitted to the chairman and then to the Board of Directors;
     
  3. prepares the set of rules which will be submitted to the chairman and then to the Board of Directors;
     
  4. suggests, in agreement with the chairman, to the Board of Directors the appointment of the managers of the general services;
  5. entrusts the managers with tasks upon resolution of the Board of Directors.
