The present study demonstrates no \nconcommitant reduction in the expression of alpha2-alpha7, beta2 \nand beta3 nAChR subunit proteins. Alphasynuclein, which can \ninterfere with membrane protein function and is a key constituent of \nPD and DLB pathology, was increased (insoluble fraction) in both \ndisorders, although nAChR binding loss did not correlate with \nalpha-synuclein expression within patient groups. The results point \nto a possible abnormality of striatal nicotinic receptor assembly in PD \nand DLB." ; prodottidellaricerca:prodottoDi istituto:CDS061 . ns9:ID337065 pubblicazioni:rivistaDi prodotto:ID37448 .
