The goal of this technique is to control the topology of the graph representing the\ncommunication links between network nodes, with the purpose of maintaining some global graph property (e.g., connectivity) while reducing energy consumption and/or interference, which are strictly related to the nodes' transmitting range. In this paper,\nwe state several problems related to topology control in wireless\nad hoc and sensor networks, and we survey state-of-the-art\nsolutions which have been proposed to tackle them. We also outline several directions for further research, which we hope will\nmotivate researchers to undertake additional studies on this\nfield."@en ; prodottidellaricerca:prodottoDi modulo:ID5930 , istituto:CDS044 ; pubblicazioni:autoreCNR unitaDiPersonaleInterno:MATRICOLA8503 . @prefix parolechiave: . prodotto:ID29904 parolechiave:insiemeDiParoleChiave . ns11:ID347930 pubblicazioni:rivistaDi prodotto:ID29904 . parolechiave:insiemeDiParoleChiaveDi prodotto:ID29904 .
