Different techniques were\ndeveloped to address this issue andto provide a better QoS for the \nInternet users. Among them, an important role is played by the replication \nof Web services. Replication of Web services is obtained by implementing a \nWeb service with several Web servers. This replication can be deployed \neither locally (e.g. by a cluster of computers) or geographically (e.g. \nservers distributed sparsely in the Internet). In this paper we deal with \ngeographical replication. Two main approaches are currently used for \ngeographical replication: client-side and server-side approach. We \nfocused our analysis on the client-side approach. We classified and \ncontrasted, qualitatively and quantitatively (via simulation), different \nclient side techniques to find the pro and cons of each approach with the \naim to identify the best solutions for content-delivery systems." ; prodottidellaricerca:prodottoDi istituto:CDS044 . ns9:ID583862 pubblicazioni:rivistaDi prodotto:ID29870 .
