One of the current issues concerning this technique is how to improve the re-growth of damaged tissue by supplying growth factors; these have to be readily available to the live tissue that is growing in the scaffold. In the present work we address this problem by magnetizing the scaffolds. We show an example of our magnetizing technique on a bone graft substitute, which is used to replace damaged or diseased bone tissue. The susceptibility of the scaffold is sufficiently high that, if placed in a magnetic field, it acts as magnet. In our vision this will allow growth factors, which will be attached to magnetic nanoparticles, to be attracted by the scaffold and hence be available to the growing live tissue"^^xsd:string ; pubblicazioni:affiliazioni "CNR-ISMN, Bologna, Istituti Ortopedici Rizzoli, Laboratorio di Biomeccanica (IOR), Bologna, CNR-ISTEC, Faenza, Belarusian State Medical University, Minsk 1111, Belarus, Istituti Ortopedici Rizzoli, Laboratorio di Biomeccanica (IOR),Bologna"^^xsd:string ; pubblicazioni:titolo "Magnetic Biomimetic Scaffolds for Bone Tissue Engineering"^^xsd:string ; prodottidellaricerca:prodottoDi modulo:ID2509 , istituto:CDS073 ; pubblicazioni:autoreCNR unitaDiPersonaleInterno:MATRICOLA6805 , unitaDiPersonaleInterno:MATRICOLA20467 . @prefix parolechiave: . prodotto:ID120240 parolechiave:insiemeDiParoleChiave . parolechiave:insiemeDiParoleChiaveDi prodotto:ID120240 .
